Full description

Brazeau County by means of this RFP invites organizations to submit proposals according to the County's requirements for the Operation and Maintenance of the Pih-to-kwe Campground, located just North of Drayton Valley along Highway #22. The Pih-to-kwe Campground is a municipally owned campground that offers 15 full service sites, 15 powered sites and 9 non-serviced sites.

This campground features a sani-dump, cookhouse with power, heated portable building with washrooms and showers, a portable building used as an administrative office, a playground and an exercise station. The campsites are furnished with fire pits and picnic tables by the County. The campground is nestled in a mature pine forest and is across Highway #22 from the Drayton Valley Golf Club.

The campground typically operates from the beginning of May until the end of September. The water utilities are not able to operate in the winter due to freezing temperatures, and as such the campground is shut down during the off-season.
