Full description

Acquisition of a new four-probe system enabling real-time measurement of bio-capacitance for cell culture in bioreactors, for up to four bioreactors in parallel. This system will enable real-time estimation of viable cell concentration in those bioreactors.
Measuring bio-capacitance at multiple frequencies, at regular intervals, in order to obtain the capacitance distribution spectrum of the cells, thereby enabling the real-time calculation of other critical cell culture parameters such as cell size, internal cell conductivity, and critical frequency.

The probes to be acquired under this procurement must be compatible with the different types of bioreactors used by the team. In addition, the selected bio-capacitance probes must allow multi-frequency scanning for real-time determination of the intrinsic dielectric properties of the cells through analysis of the ß-dispersion of the signal using the Cole–Cole a model. Finally, the generated data must be capable of being captured in real time both by the control and data acquisition system via OPC-UA communication, and via 4–20 mA communication to enable integration of the probe directly into a control loop.
