This RFP is an invitation by the City of Toronto (the “City”) to prospective suppliers to submit Bids for Design Excellence in Modernization for full Professional and Technical Architectural and Engineering Services for Scarborough Centennial Recreation Centre, are soliciting proposals from a single qualified architectural Supplier. The Successful Supplier, acting as the prime consultant (hereinafter referred to as “Supplier”) and design team comprised of several individuals of varied disciplines, to provide full professional and technical architectural and engineering services for the scope outlined within this RFP. The Supplier and the design team must indicate commitment to design excellence and proven ability to implement high-quality and innovative community centre including aquatics and arena facilities; as well as demonstrating exceptional skills in public engagement, communication and consultation. The Supplier must be authorized to practise architecture in the Province of Ontario and must hold a valid Certificate of Practice issued by the Ontario Association of Architects (OAA). The Supplier must carry a qualified engineering consultant firm for each of the following disciplines: mechanical, electrical, structural, and civil engineers with a valid Certificate of Authorization and Consulting Engineer designation in accordance with Professional Engineers Ontario (PEO) requirements
