Title : Heat flow microcalorimeter procurement
Item Mandatory Technical Criteria
1 Twin type Heat flow calorimeter
2 Operating on 115V
3 Simultaneous multiple samples measurements
4 Isothermal operation
5 Heat sink operating temperature between 30 and 100oC or better
6 The heat sink temperature is measured and then maintained to
within +/- 0.2o or better during isothermal experiment
7 The sensitivity should be 5µW/g or better
8 The precision should be at least 30% at 5 µW/g and 5% from 100
to 1500 µW/g
9 Measuring range corresponding to 10 to 500 µW/g or better,
error must be less than 2% during the total measuring time
10 Instrument's calibration uses internal electrical heaters.
11 Stainless steel and glass (disposable) reaction vessels that
can be hermetically sealed
12 Reaction vessel volume between 2 and 4cm3
The instrument must accept a variety of accessories to allow
for different kind of experiments to be performed.
13 Nanocalorimeter for operation between 30 and 100oC or better
14 Flow through type (perfusion) reaction vessel for gas and

Basis of Selection: Highest Combined Rating of Technical Merit
and Price
The selection will be based on the highest responsive combined
rating of technical merit and price.The ratio will be 30% for
the technical merit and 70% for the price.
The requirement is subject to the provisions of the World Trade
Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), the
North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), the Agreement on
Internal Trade (AIT), Canada - Peru Free Trade Agreement, Canada
- Colombia Free Trade Agreement and Canada - Chile Free Trade
Agreement.
