Nature of Requirements:
1.0 Background
1.1 The RMCC Library subscribes to a wide variety of academic
journals in support of all fields of study at RMCC. Journal
subscriptions are a typical kind of library material with some
fields of study, teaching and research requiring more journal
material than other fields. Engineering and science are heavy
users of journal-based material.
2.0 Requirement
2.1 The contractor shall provide RMCC Library with subscriptions
to the journals listed on the provided spreadsheet for the
period of Contract Award Date to 31 Dec 14, with renewal options
for 01 Jan 15 to 31 Dec 15 AND 01 Jan 16 to 31 Dec 16, and the
option to change up to 50% of the titles for each option year.
3.0 Title
3.1 Renewal of RMCC Library's journal subscriptions.
4.0 Tasks and Deliverables
4.1 Providing full subscriptions to the journals listed on the
provided spreadsheet for the period of Contract Award Date to 31
Dec 14, in either print or print + online formats, as indicated.
4.2 Option year 1 - Providing full subscriptions to the journals
listed on the provided spreadsheet for the period of 01 Jan 15
to 31 Dec 15, in either print or print + online formats, as
indicated. The Library has the option to change (cancel,
substitute, add) up to 50% of the number of titles. The Library
must be consulted before renewals take place.
4.3 Option year 2 - Providing full subscriptions to the journals
listed on the provided spreadsheet for the period of 01 Jan 16
to 31 Dec 16, in either print or print + online formats, as
indicated. The Library has the option to change (cancel,
substitute, add) up to 50% of the number of titles. The Library
must be consulted before renewals take place.
4.4 Providing continued access to titles that split, merge, or
are superseded after consultation with the Library.
4.5 Providing customer service during normal business hours
(0900 - 1700 EDT/EST).
4.6 Providing access to a subscription management system.

The Crown retains the right to negotiate with suppliers on any
procurement.
