Agriculture and Irrigation - Request for Proposal - Spillway Component Recoating Services at Oldman River Dam and St. Mary Dam

This project consists of recoating corrosion protection on spillway components at two sites in southern Alberta (Oldman River Dam and St. Mary Dam). Both dams have operational spillways that include steel gates; gate guides; and stop log guides. These gates and related components have coatings which are resistant to corrosion and abrasion.

This will be awarded as a multi-year project as there are factors that may impact scheduling of the work.

• Water levels will need to be below the spillway crests at each location to allow work to proceed.
• Cathodic protection installations at the St. Mary site (currently in progress), will need to be completed prior to gate recoating. This work is anticipated to be completed this fall.
