The Department of National Defence (DND) has identified a requirement to upgrade the Anti-Submarine Warfare (ASW) capability for the Royal Canadian Navy (RCN) Halifax Class frigates located on both coasts of Canada. It is intended to award both an Acquisition contract and In-Service Support contract to a single successful Contractor under this solicitation process. In addition to the ship-fitted Sensor System, ancillary equipment including hardware, software and documentation needed to maintain and support the system, to provide Halifax-class Combat System software change management capability, to train operators and maintainers, and to provide post-mission analysis capabilities.

2. The In-Service Support scope will consist of the following major components:

  • In-Service Support Management;
  • Technical Schedule Management;
  • In-Service Support Service Delivery;
  • Life Cycle Materiel Management;
  • Training Support;
  • Electronic Information Management;
  • Performance Monitoring and Assessment; and
  • Meetings.
