Work Description:
Work of this Contract includes, but is not limited to:
-replacing existing boilers and domestic hot water heaters with
new boilers and indirect water heaters
-replacing thermostats and control valves
-modify existing heating piping, domestic water piping, gas
pipes to suit new equipment layout
-modify controls for existing and new mechanical equipment
-test and commission mechanical systems and provide reports
-modify electrical services for existing and new mechanical
equipment
Site Visit:
Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to
submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or
investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with
the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.
A site visit has been scheduled for 03 April 2014 @ 10:00 am
local time. Interested contractors are to meet at the William
Head Institution Principal Entrance Boardroom located at 6000
William Head Road in Metchosin, BC.
All contractors must wear a high visibility vest, which meets
WCB standards, for all site visits including a tender site
visit. No cameras, cell phones (of any type) or laptop
computers are allowed into institutions at any time.
Delivery Date:
The work shall commence immediately upon official notification
of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to
be completed within eighteen (18) weeks of contract award.
Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project
is estimated to cost between $800,000 and $900,000.
