Title: Direct Digital Controls (DDC) Upgrade
Location: Kent Institution, Agassiz, BC
Work Description:
Work under this contract covers the following:
Upgrade the existing pneumatic controls to Direct Digital
Controls. The new DDC system shall be integrated with the
incumbend DDC system.
Contractor shall be aware that there are hazardous materials,
including Asbestos Containing Materials (ACM), lead-based paint,
mercury vapour in light tubes, and some mould in the facility.
Contractor shall implement appropriate procedures for work with,
and disposing of ACM and lead-based paint in accordance with
WorkSafeBC guidelines, and Federal and Provincial regulations.
Contractor shall allow for construction work to be carried out
in multiple phases, to minimize interruption to operation of the
existing HVAC systems.
Site Visit:
There will be a site visit on September 4, 2013 at 1:30 pm.
Interested Bidders are to meet at the PWGSC Site Office, Kent
Institution, 4732 Cemetery Road, Agassiz, BC.
There will be a another site visit sheduled on September 16,
2013 at 9:30 am. Interested Bidders are to meet at the PWGSC

Construction Time:
The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work within
thirty-four (34) weeks from the date of notification of
acceptance of the offer.

Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements this project
is estimated to cost between
$775,000.00 and $825,000.00.
