Title: Tissue Sample Analysis

REQUIREMENT:
Defence Research and Development Canada (DRDC) - Suffield,
Medicine Hat, Alberta, has a requirement for the assessment and
expert interpretation of tissue damage using electron microscopy
as well as other specialized imaging techniques.

MANDATORY REQUIREMENTS:
1. Education: PhD in Biological Science

2. Experience:
Demonstrated expertise and experience in electron microscopy
(EM), including scanning and transmission EM;

Demonstrated expertise with the carrying out of EM imaging,
including interpretation of images; AND

Demonstrated expertise with the interpretation of brain tissue
EM images from both in vivo and in vitro model systems.

CONTRACTOR SELECTION:
The contractor will be selected on the basis of the Assessed
Best Value to the Crown taking into account merit and cost
factors.

PERIOD OF CONTRACT:
It is anticipated that any contract will be effective from date
of Contract to March 31, 2015 inclusive.

ESTIMATED FUNDING:
The estimated funding available for the Contract resulting from
the bid solicitation is $70,000.00 CAD, the Goods and Services
Tax or the Harmonized Sales Tax excluded, FOB destination for
goods, customs duties and excise taxes included. This disclosure
does not commit Canada to pay the estimated funding available.
