By means of this RFP, Natural Resources Canada (NRCan) is seeking proposals from bidders for services to process and recover perovskite minerals from two geological samples (an Ice River Complex carbonatite and a Cambrian-age kimberlite), and then analyze these to establish Reference Materials for U-Pb dating and Sr and Nd isotopic tracing. The primary aim is to establish an accepted national Reference Material that will enhance U-Pb dating accuracy and precision through direct determination of an accurate “common-Pb” correction.
