Natural Resources Canada has a requirement for the supply,
installation and training of a benchtop nitrogen and sulphur
analyzer for the purpose of measuring sulphur (100 ppb to 5%)
and nitrogen (50 ppb to percent levels), in petroleum (from
volatile fuels to heavy #6 type fuel oils) and complex biofuels
such as pyrolysis oils (which can contain up to 40% water),
biomass and other alternative fuel types.
Delivery is requested on or before March 28, 2013.
It is proposed to negotiate on a limited tendering basis for the
Antek MultiTek N-S Pyro-chemiluminescent Nitrogen
Pyro-fluorescent Sulphur Analyzer, for exclusive rights reasons,
with Folio Instruments Inc., of Kitchener Ontario, who has
exclusive distribution rights to the proposed product in Canada.
The Antek MultiTek N-S Analyzer is the only known product
capable of satisfying the following mandatory technical
specifications;
- Capable of both simultaneous and independent determination of
sulphur and nitrogen in solid, liquid and gas matrices, using a
horizontal multi-matrix injection inlet system.
- Capable of accommodating sample masses up to 500 mg and
volumes of 5-40µL.
- Capable of accurate low sulphur measurement in the presence
of high nitrogen levels, for example, sulphur in concentrations
