Amendment 002 is raised to modify the closing date from August
26th, 2014 14:00 Eastern Standard Time to August 26th, 2014
14:00 Eastern Daylight Time and to answer questions.
All other terms and conditions of the solicitation remain the
same.
A proposal already submitted may be amended prior to closing
time by sending the amended correspondence to Bid Receiving, the
envelope/fax bearing the Request for Proposal No. W6399-140065/A
and the closing date of August 26th, 2014.
48 Oxygen Rebreather Systems and 48 Spare Oxygen Bottles, with
Operator & Maintenance Courses, and Additional Services for a
period of five years: Compliant with the requirements of STANAG
1410; chest worn; fully closed circuit system (except when
purging) that utilizes 100% Oxygen and a Carbon Dioxide
scrubbing unit to provide a reliable source of breathing oxygen
to the operator as follows: Breathing Rate of no less than 1.5
SLM (standard liters per minute); and Carbon dioxide absorption
rate of no less than 1.35 SLM; self-contained system that does
not require external interfaces for operation; Provide sustained
operation for not less than one hundred eighty (180) minutes and
a nominal working depth of up to 15.2 m (50 ft); Provide safe
partial pressure of oxygen at all operating depths to the
maximum operating depth of 18 m (59 ft); Operate in the
following environmental conditions: Operating temperature: -2°C
to +40°C; Storage temperature: -20°C to +50°C; and Water
conditions: Both salt and fresh water with minimum impact to
buoyancy characteristics; Operate normally following: A 1 m (3.3
ft) drop on to a hard surface when housed within the transport
case; and A 0.5 m (1.6 ft) drop on to a hard surface when
assembled for use and unprotected; aircraft transportable in an
operational (un-pressurized) condition.
Required for the Department of National Defence (DND) to be
delivered to Ottawa, all firm deliverables must be completed
within 180 day of contract award.
The requirement is conditionally limited to Canadian goods.
One options exists for up to a maximum of an additional 48 units
with an additional 5 years of courses and additional services.
To assure a response before the bid closing date, all enquiries
about this requirement must be submitted in writing and received
by the Contracting Authority at least 7 calendar days prior to
the bid closing date.
No sealed sample are available for viewing at Department of
Public Works and Government Services regional offices.
