The Product Safety Laboratory (PSL) of Health Canada is
interested in purchasing two custom test cabinets designed to
allow easy testing of electrical consumer products. One (1)
cabinet will be designed to test 120 V consumer products while
the second (2) will be designed to test 208 V and 240 V consumer
products. Both test cabinets must connect to available building
power and an emergency-stop (e-stop) circuit. Each test cabinet
will have several outlets found in a typical Canadian home or
apartment building. Consumer products will be powered from these
outlets to facilitate testing and evaluation. These consumer
products can range from Christmas lights, clock radios, TVs,
refrigerators, dryers, etc. Health Canada is looking for
flexible test platforms to evaluate these consumer products in
the same conditions they would typically operate in a Canadian
home.
The work includes the supply, delivery, installation,
commissionning and training in accordance with the mandatory
criteria detailed in the attached Request for Proposal (RFP).
The test cabinets are requested to be delivered by March 31,
