contains the Drawings and Specifications Package (DSP) which

Work Description:
Work under this Contract covers remediation of petroleum
hydrocarbon and metal soil contamination by excavation at Public
Works and Government Services Canada's former highway
construction and maintenance camp. The former camp, referred to
as site P-08i, is located on approximately 8.6 hectares of land
in the area of the existing Northern Rockies Regional Recreation
Centre (NRRRC), located at 5500 Simpson Trail, Fort Nelson, BC.

Mandatory Site Visit:
There will be a MANDATORY site visit on Wednesday, May 1, 2013
at 10:30am. Interested bidders are to meet at the Former Highway
Camp, 5500 Simpson Trail, Fort Nelson, BC - meet at the NRRM
sign within Area 1 (shown on drawings).
Interested bidders are responsible for making their own travel
arrangements.
Interested bidders should wear personal protective equipment
(such as: hardhat, high visibility vest, work boots) to the
site visit.
**Interested bidders who intend on attending the site visit are
to provide their name(s) and company name(s) to Patty Liu at
P••••••••@•••••.••.ca no later than 24 hours prior to the site
visit.
The site visit for this project is MANDATORY. The
representative of the bidder will be required to sign the Site
Visit Attendance Sheet at the site visit. Bids submitted by
Bidders who have not signed the attendance sheet will not be
accepted.
Delivery Date:
The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work the project,
including final submissions (e.g. as built documents,
Certificate of Completion, and Statutory Declaration at Final
Completion), by March 31, 2014, taking into consideration
excavation Areas 1, 3, and 4 of the Project Site as outlined in
the Drawings, which have the following completion dates:
Area 1 - five (5) weeks from date of contract award.
Areas 3 and 4 - eight (8) weeks from date of contract award.

Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project
is estimated to cost between
2,000,000.00 to 2,600,000.00.
Firms intending to submit tenders for this project should obtain
tender (solicitation) documents through the MERX services
provider. Addenda when issued will be available from the MERX
services provider. Firms that elect to base their bid on tender
(solicitation) documents obtained from other sources do so at
their own risk and will be solely responsible to inform the bid
calling authority on their intention to bid. In all cases,
bidders must indicate (when requested) on the tender form the
identification number(s) of the addenda, if any, that they have
taken into consideration for their bid submission.
