Purpose
Employment Services is publishing the attached 2026-27 Employment Services Investment Plan to provide transparency regarding strategic priorities and planned investments that will support the continued evolution of employment services across Alberta during the 2026-27 fiscal year.

The Investment Plan outlines key service priorities, intended areas of investment, and proposed initiatives designed to improve outcomes for Alberta job seekers, employers, and communities. These priorities are aligned with Employment Services transformation objectives and Alberta's Four Pillars for Employment.

Publication of this Investment Plan is intended to provide service providers, industry partners, and other stakeholders with visibility into areas where future program development, service enhancements, and investment activities may occur.

The attached plan identifies several investment streams, including Digital Employment Services, Medium-Intensity Services, Strategic Employment Partnerships, High-Intensity Services, and the Employment Campaign. These initiatives represent the current strategic direction of Employment Services and may inform future business planning and program delivery decisions.

Future Opportunities
Implementation of the investments described in the attached plan may involve a variety of delivery mechanisms, including the use of existing service agreements, contract amendments, grants, partnerships, collaborative arrangements, and future procurement processes, where appropriate.

This notice is provided for information purposes only and does not constitute a solicitation, competitive procurement opportunity, request for qualifications, request for proposals, or commitment by the Government of Alberta to undertake any specific procurement activity.

Where future competitive procurement opportunities are required, they will be advertised separately through the Alberta Purchasing Connection (APC) in accordance with applicable legislation, policy requirements, and trade agreement obligations.
