Description of Work:
As part of the Department of Foreign Affairs, Trade and Development (DFATD), the Enterprise Data Management unit is mandated to provide the different business lines with the means to manage their data resources effectively. To ensure this is done appropriately, the unit recently purchased IBM Infosphere Governance Catalog, Infosphere Datastage and Qualitystage.
With the Prime Minister of Canada reinforcing our commitment to the Open Government initiative, DFATD needs to validate that it has identified all of its data assets and assess if they are fit for publication.
As part of the release process, DFATD’s datasets will be evaluated and verified so they conform to a defined Data quality standard in regards to its use and purpose using QualityStage. Those datasets will be then transferred in the DFATD data warehouse through Extract Transform Load (ETL) Processes using Datastage.
To assist in meeting the above object, DFATD’s Enterprise Data Management unit requires the services of up two (2) Database Analysts/ ETL Developers to help the business programs plan, implement, monitor and improve, in the implementation of a data quality program that is in alignment with the data quality framework established by the Enterprise Data Management unit.
