The Embassy of Canada in Washington, DC is currently on a month-to-month contract with a local supplier for electricity services for its Chancery, Official Residences, and private residences located in Washington, DC and Maryland. The Embassy’s current annual usage is approximately 4 million KWH.
Consequently, Canada seeks to enter into a long-term contract with a supplier for its electricity purchases with the expectation that Canada will secure more competitive rates then currently received. Further, Canada is committed to green energy and is interested in retaining a supplier who is capable of providing competitively priced green energy sources.
The purpose of this NPP is to solicit interest from potential suppliers who will be added to a local source list of suppliers and to whom a solicitation document will be sent at a later date.
