ALUMINUM WORKBOAT FROM 7.2 TO 7.4M WITH TRAILER
The Department of Fisheries and Oceans (DFO) has a requirement
for one (1) 7.2 to 7.4 meters aluminum workboat with
walk-through console, Bimini hardtop with trailer built in
accordance with the Technical Statement of Requirement (TSOR),
Annex "A', attached to the Request for Proposals (RFP).
The primary role of this craft will be to conduct research for
the DFO's Species at Risk programs for the Great Lakes Lab for
Fisheries and Aquatic Sciences (GLLFAS) and will operate
throughout the Great Lakes Basin.
The missions and functions performed by the workboat and crew
will include setting and retrieving gill nets in the near shore
areas of the Great Lakes; water sampling and deploying small
instruments; benthic sampling and substrate mapping in the near
shore areas of the Great Lakes; and deploy water current and
water temperature data loggers on the substrates surrounding
aquaculture cage facilities.
The vessel will be trailered to and deployed in a wide variety
of Great Lakes locations where it will be used to conduct Gill
netting. This craft will be shore-based and launched and
recovered by trailer.

This procurement is subject to the Agreement on Internal Trade,
