ELECTRO FISHING BOAT/MOTOR/TRAILER

This requirement is for a welded aluminum electrofishing boat in
the 4.8 to 5.1 meter range. The vessel will be trailered to and
deployed in a wide variety of lakes and rivers within the
Maritime Provinces, where it will be used to conduct fisheries
research.

This vessel will be the primary sampling platform for research
essential to fulfilling requirements for the Atlantic whitefish
recovery program. The platform will be a critical piece of
equipment to conduct invasive species control on the Petite
Rivière where there are small mouth bass and chain pickerel.
Additionally, the equipment will increase DFO's capacity for
monitoring and research on aquatic invasive species in
freshwater of the Maritime Provinces (Gulf and Maritimes
Regions). It will be equipped with an integrated 7500 watt
generator powered pulsator (GPP) electrofisher, generator,
lighting system, sounder, dual axle trailer, outboard motor, and
live well.

This craft will be primarily shore-based and will be launched
and recovered by trailer or deployed from a shore facility dock
