Description of the requirement:
This bid solicitation is being issued to satisfy the requirement
of Public Works and Government Services Canada (the "Client(s)")
for Task-Based Informatics Professional Services (TBIPS) under
the TBIPS Supply Arrangement (SA) method of supply.
The Document Imaging Solutions Centre (DISC) within Public Works
and Government Services Canada (PWGCS) located in Matane, Quebec
is offering imaging services to federal departments and agencies
to assist in the timely conversion to electronic document
processing, to reduce document processing costs, to minimize
lost and misfiling rates and generally to improve
service-delivery to Canadians.
PWGSC DISC is launching a Project to transform its document and
records management practices and implement GCDOCS as its Content
Document and Records Management Repository. (GCDOCS is the
Government of Canada licensed solution built upon Open Text
Content Server 2010.) The Project includes the procurement,
development, data migration of existing content, testing and
deployment of solutions which integrate to Content Server and
the associated business transformation activities, policies and
functional components that govern the organization's IT
environment.
Location of Work
For the application software architect, the database analyst /
IM administrator, the programmer / software developper, the
system administrator (Opentext Content Server), the system
administrator and the project manager, the work will be
performed in Matane, Québec:
