Description of the requirement:
The Canadian Nuclear Safety Commission (CNSC) requires the full time professional services of one (1) System Analyst level 3 to represent the CNSC’s interests and provide a single point of contact for Shared Services Canada (SSC) related issues.
The proposed resource must be available by cell phone during business hours and occasionally assist with afterhours support.
Cell phone is not provided by CNSC. On occasion, for staff on vacation, extended leave or other, CNSC may provide a BlackBerry.
The tasks to be performed are:
- Coordinate tasks as well as IM/IT projects requiring SSC services
- Prepare and deliver presentations to senior management as required on the performance and effectiveness of SSC services, including, as appropriate, recommendations on utilization of additional SSC service offerings.
- Review and prioritize SSC incidents
- Provide consultation and advice to CNSC clients with respect to all SSC services
- Coordinate and prioritize CNSC non-project requests for SSC services
- Monitor SSC service levels and provide reports to CNSC management
- Provide effective communication services and advice by maintaining knowledge of network infrastructure and telecommunication related technologies
- Provide expert guidance to IMTD resources on the most effective technical solution within SSC services to best meet the requirements of system development or integration.
- Coordinate in-service dates in alignment with IMTD and SSC resource availability and makes arrangements for appropriate communication of outages and explanation of changes.
- Provide updates to project teams (CNSC, SSC, or both), including monitoring against established schedules.
- Ensure completion of all SSC project tasks, such as technical reviews, infrastructure implementation, and production deployments.
- Monitor project progress reviewing performance of SSC resources and quality of SSC deliverables, and escalating problems as required.
? Participate, as required, in working groups or committees of partner organizations for discussions relating to SSC services.
- Perform overall service level monitoring of all SSC services, both in response to CNSC service requests and for ongoing operational support and response to unexpected outages.
Security requirement at bid closing: Valid Facility Security Clearance at the level of SECRET, issued by the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate (CISD), Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC).

Proposed period of contract:
The proposed period of contract shall be from contract award plus 230 days and two irrevocable option periods of 120 days as Option Period 1 and 120 days as Option Period 2.
