Bow Valley College currently delivers fully online and hybrid courses using the D2L Brightspace Learning Management System (LMS), for 3 distinct purposes across 3 separate instances.

  • The Main D2L Environment is the College’s primary instance represents 85% of the licensing fee, and is for all College credit and continuing education offerings
  • The PivotED D2L environment is to support an (initially grant funded) Academic Innovation-led initiative that does not intersect with our existing population.
  • The Skills for Success (SFS) D2L environment are to support a grant funded research initiative that does not intersect with our existing learner population.

D2L Brightspace provides a centralized forum for courses, quizzes, and activity work on a per-course offering basis. It is utilized for both instructor-led and self-directed learning.
