2. Requirements
2.1 General - This item shall be in accordance with
MIL-DTL-24643/33-04UN with the following modifications and
additions.
2.2 Design and Construction
2.2.1 Item shall have six (6) individually shielded twisted
pairs, each conductor No. 12 AWG.
2.2.2 Item shall have under the jacket, two (2) overall
braidedshields of tin coated copper strands AWG No. 34,
providing a minimum coverage of 85 percent.
2.2.2.1 Braided shield minimum coverage shall be calculated in
accordance with MIL-DTL-24643, paragraph 3.4.8.1.
2.2.3 Finished cable outside diameter, 1.20 inches maximum.
2.3 Mechanical
2.3.1 Bend radius, 8.0 inches minimum.
2.4 Electrical
2.4.1 Operating voltage, 600 volts rms.
2.5 Environmental - Item shall be capable of operating in the
service conditions satisfy the performance requirements herein
and in MIL-DTL-24643.
2.6 Marking and workmanship shall be in accordance with
MIL-DTL-24643 and shall include manufacturer's name or symbol
and part number.
2.7 The total quantity of the cable requested must be supplied
in a continuous length spool for each delivery location.
