To provide labour, parts, material, and equipment to carry out the docking and refit on and for CCGS G. Peddle SC in accordance with specification No.15-G028-012-1
The requirement is exempt from the provisions of the World Trade Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), Annex 4 and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), Chapter Ten Annex 1001.2b Paragraph 1, however, it is subject to the Agreement on InternalTrade (AIT) and will be limited to suppliers in Eastern Canada in accordance with Shipbuilding, Refit, Repair and Modernization Policy (1996-12-19).
This vessel is not ice strengthened and has limited ability to withstand ice accumulation resulting from transiting in freezing spray conditions. It has been determined that the risks to personnel and equipment associated with the extended open sea transits in winter conditions are high.
A bidders' conference will be held at Maritime Regional Headquarters Building at 50 Discovery Drive, Dartmouth, Nova Scotia on TUESDAY, JANUARY 19, 2016, . The vessel will be available for viewing before and after the bidders conference on the same day. There are no additional viewings available before the beginning of the refit work period.
Bidders must communicate with the Contracting Authority no later than 1600 Friday, January 15, 2015, to confirm attendence at the bidders conference. The viewing and bidders conference will be cancelled if no confirmations are received.
