DESCRIPTION:
The Department of National Defence has a requirement for the
printing, finishing and delivery of 4,500 copies of a 160-page
case bound book.
PRINT QUALITY: Informational, to be in accordance with the
Public Works and Government Services Canada publication entitled
"Quality Levels for Printing" and /or "Quality Levels for
Binding", latest issues.
SPECIFICATIONS:
QUANTITIES:
1,500 books must be delivered to Edmonton and 3,000 books must
be delivered to Montreal.

BINDING/CONSTRUCTION:
As per the sample for construction supplied:
Casebound cover with full buckram cased in over 0.80" Binders
Board and reinforced loose spine;
Cover material (OBV 430) is turned in over the outer edges of
the boards (and spine) from the outside to the inside;
Even overhang at bottom, left and right edges of cover;
Front cover contains a 3" (height) formed pencil holder, located
on right side, centered top to bottom;
Endleaves are tipped on to first and last signatures and
laminated to inside surface of front and back covers;
Smyth sewn (5 signatures of 32 pages each) with 2 tapes for
reinforcement on spine;
Binding along the top (4-1/4")
All deliverables must be received on or before September 30,
2013.

The responsive bid with the lowest evaluated price will be
recommended for award of a contract.
