REFIT CCGC WESTPORT

To provide labour, parts, material, and equipment to carry out
the docking and refit on and for CCGC WESTPORT in accordance
with specification No. 12-W019-18-1.

The requirement is exempt from the provisions of the World Trade
Organization Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP),
Annex 4 and the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA),
Chapter Ten Annex 1001.2b Paragraph 1, however, it is subject to
the Agreement on Internal Trade (AIT).

Arun Class vessels are not ice strenghtened and have limited
ability to withstand ice accumulation resulting from transiting
in freezing spray conditions. It has been determined that the
risks associated with extended open sea transits in winter
conditions are high. To reduce these risks, the Arun Class
vessels will not be permitted to transit to or from contractor
facilities located in the province of Newfoundland and Labrador
during the period of December to April inclusive.

The vessel viewing and bidders conference for 8 February 2013,
has been canceled.

The Government of Canada reserves the right to negotiate with
suppliers on any procurement.
