The Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement to conduct a series of training exercises and activities involving a variety of training scenarios at a single location.
Background
The Canadian Armed Forces (CAF) is the organization with DND responsible for a wide range of missions and tasks in response to a variety of threats. The operational environment is often complex and dynamic. CAF operators may be required to operate in locations anywhere in the world and perform a wide variety of tasks employing difference types of equipment, tools, tactics and procedures. Previously, the CAF has conducted this training on a task by task basis in various locations however, this is time consuming and results in increased costs. Conducting broad based training in a single location will provide a more realistic training experience and allow for the realization of efficiencies and savings due to reduced travel time and associated expenses.
These services are to be provided on an ?as-and-when-requested? basis as specified in subsequent RFPs issued to qualified Supply Arrangement holders. The RFPs will specify the exact dates for service delivery, specify the range of services required and confirm all task and deliverables.
