Nature of Requirements:
VERTICAL MACHINING CENTRE
Requirement
The Department of Public Works and Government Services Canada,
on behalf of The National Defence and the Canadian Forces, has a
requirement for one (1) Vertical Machining Center, full turn key
operation, in accordance with the requirement outlined in the
solicitation documents available though Merx. Delivery to
destination, installation, commissioning, manuals and training
are included.
Mandatory trade-in
Quantity 1, Monarch CNC, Vertical Machining Centre, Model VMC
45, serial 89367. The trade-in will be applied as a credit
against the Vertical Machining Center. The equipment will be
viewed during the mandatory site visit. The trade-in equipment
will be immediately available to the selected Contarctor upon
delivery of the new equipment at destination.
Mandatory Site Visit
A mandatory site visit is organized to view the actual floor
plan, equipment and the physical arrangement of the QETE
Facility. It is mandatory that the Bidder or a representative
of the Bidder visit the work site. Arrangements have been made
for site visit to be held on November 14, 2012 at 10 AM,
DND-QETE, 45 Boulevard Sacre Coeur, Gatineau (Hull Sector),
Quebec, Canada, J8X 1C6.
Delivery and trade-in
The requirement is requested to be delivered and the trade-in on
or before March 31, 2013.
Security
There are no security requirements associated with this
requirement.
Trade agreements
The requirement is subject to the provisions of the North
American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), World Trade Organization
Agreement on Government Procurement (WTO-AGP), the Canada-Chile
Free Trade Agreement (CCFTA), the Canada-Peru Free Trade
Agreement (CPFTA) and the Agreement on Internal Trade(AIT).
