NOTICE
Solicitation #5000017987
CCIW Freezer Rooms
Canada Centre for Inland Waters (CCIW)
867 Lakeshore Rd
Burlington, On L7R 4A6
SCOPE OF WORK
Construct three new walk in freezer rooms at the Canada Centre for Inland Waters (CCIW), each with normal operating space temperature of -35°C, as well as a 4°C cold room, which serves as a corridor. New condensing units will be installed overtop of existing condensing units on an owner supplied stand/support. The new air cooled condensing units will be connected to a remote condenser which will be installed don the roof. This will give the ability to reject the heat outside during warmer months, and/or reject the heat inside during cooler months. A new room will be constructed adjacent to the freezer/cooler rooms with the purpose of reducing the noise generated from new and existing condensing units. The south side will have two in-wall axial fans which are meant to push the heat from the new room into the hydraulics wing. The walls of the new room will go to the underside of the hydraulics roof. The north end of the new room will have louvres which will facilitate the flow of air from the hydraulics wing into the new room. There will be a mushroom style exhaust installed on the roof over the new room. All items requiring power will be fed from either of the existing 600V or 208V panels located in the area
Exact details are found in the contract specifications.
All contractors intending to bid are requested to attend the mandatory site examination meeting. This will be the only opportunity to visit the site, examine the drawings and discuss projects details. All contractors attending the site visit will need to present photo identification at the front desk. The site visit will be held at the following date and location, as stated below:
Interested bidders are invited to meet at Environment Canada, 867 Lakeshore Road, Burlington, Ontario L7R 4A6 on the 27th of January, 2016 at 10:00am local time.
