Gas Chromatograph Coupled to a High Resolution Mass Spectrometer
Requirement
Environment Canada's Quebec Laboratory for Environmental Testing
(QLET) wants to acquire a gas chromatograph coupled to a high
resolution, sector type, mass spectrometer in order to conduct
quantitative analysis of a large variety of trace and
ultra-trace organic contaminants in environmental samples.
This instrument will be used as an analysis tool for research
and monitoring projects. Targeted compounds are present in the
environment at extremely low levels and are often present with
very similar co-extractants and at much higher concentrations
(for example, dioxins and furans, PolyBromoDiphenylEthers,
OrganoChlorinated Pesticides, etc.). Acquisition of such an
instrument by QLET will permit the Department to fill in its
mandate related to different programs, such as the Monitoring
and Surveillance of Fresh Water and Sediments and for Research
projects.
Delivery
Complete delivery of the system,mandatory between 1 December
2012 and 15 February 2013
Complete installation and training for the system, mandatory
before 31 March 2013

Pursuant to Section 01 of Standard Instructions 2003, a Consent
to a Criminal Record Verification form 229, must be submitted
with the bid, on the bid solicitation closing date, for each
individual who is currently on the Bidder's board of Directors.
