Initiative supports the advancement of the Indigenous Gathering Place (IGP) at The Confluence, led by the Indigenous Gathering Place Society of Calgary (a non-profit organization). In alignment with City Council’s Motion Arising (2022 Jan 25) and Memorandum of Understanding (dated 2024 May 26), the Society was designated to lead the initiative, ensuring indigenous leadership and community engagement.
The scope includes:
-Architectural design services for regulatory applications and business planning.
-Business plan development and consulting to support the IGP case.
-Elder and community engagement to fulfill consultation obligations.
-Project management and coordination with City partners.
