The City of Calgary and ENMAX have a long-standing arrangement that allows The City to use portions of ENMAX's conduit and pole infrastructure to support municipal telecommunications services. This infrastructure supports critical City operations, including public safety, transportation, and other municipal communication systems.

The Telecom Facilities License Agreement establishes the terms under which The City may install, operate, maintain, relocate, and remove telecommunications cables and related facilities within designated ENMAX infrastructure. The agreement provides The City with a limited, non-exclusive right to occupy ENMAX-owned conduit and pole infrastructure for municipal telecommunications purposes, while ensuring compliance with applicable safety, operational, and regulatory requirements.
