The City of Calgary is interested in testing Advanced Computing Infrastructure (ACI) that uses climate resistant technology to cool the infrastructure. As Calgary’s tech sector flourishes and more data centers move into Calgary to meet the demand there is a risk the cooling demands could upset Calgary’s water supplies.
Alternate forms of cooling that do not rely on water is a mandatory requirement for this investigation. In addition to climate resistant cooling, the facility is required to be on-net with City of Calgary dark fibre to create a high speed and secure network.
The provider must be able to provide advanced cloud services and infrastructure designed for AI, Machine Learning, Advanced Computing Infrastructure (ACI), and other compute-intensive applications.
Notice is hereby given by The City of Calgary (“The City”) of its intent to enter into contract with DENVR DATAWORKS CORP., for the provision of (Advanced Computing Infrastructure) for the next two (2) years.
