When we initially decided to trial new bunker gear in 2017, it was to see if we could create a custom set of gear that best fit out needs. At the time we had moved to a fulltime service and had many mixed brand sets of gear that were nearing expiration dates, and some sets were custom fir for certain staff members that no longer worked at CFS.
We brough in the brands Innotex,Globe and Starfield Lion for wear trials. It was determinded that Starfield Lion was the best fit for our needs at the time. After a few years we began to have issues with the supplier.
When it was determined that the current supplier was no longer meeting the needs of the City we began to reach out again for different brands, Globe, Honeywell and Starfield Lion. Based off priced and features of the gear Honeywell appeared to be the best gear for our needs.
The inital switch to Seahawk was based on price of the sets of gear and customer service.
The estimated amount is for 5 bunker gear.
