Full description

The City of Lloydminster is seeking qualified Vendors interested in providing wood recycling services to the City of Lloydminster for a period of three (3) years, with the option to extend for up to two (2), one-year terms.

The City of Lloydminster (City) values resource recovery and diversion of waste from the landfill. For more than ten (10) years, the City has been recycling untreated wood such as trees, pallets, and shacks used in the oil field. The recycled material (4 inches minus ground/chipped wood) is used as an alternative daily cover for the landfill working face; providing an alternative cover material during the winter and a drivable surface during the wet season. The material is also used as a pad for the landfill compactor which eases strain on the equipment and the operator during the winter.
