The College of Registered Nurses of Alberta (CRNA) is the professional regulatory body for registered nurses and nurse practitioners in Alberta. Operating under the authority of the Health Professions Act, CRNA’s mandate is to protect the public by ensuring safe, competent, and ethical nursing care. As a non-profit, public-interest organization, CRNA regulates the nursing profession through oversight of registration, practice standards, continuing competence, professional conduct, and other regulatory functions designed to support public confidence in the profession.
CRNA is governed by Council and operates within Alberta’s health and regulatory environment. To support its workforce and organizational objectives, CRNA is seeking to modernize its human resources technology environment through the implementation of a HCM System. The selected solution will support the efficient management of employee information, talent and performance processes, workforce reporting and analytics, and other human resource functions, while providing a scalable, secure, and user-friendly platform that supports CRNA’s current and future operational needs.
CRNA currently utilizes a combination of systems, tools, and manual processes to support its human resources functions. Through this procurement, CRNA intends to identify and implement an integrated HCM solution that improves operational efficiency, enhances data accuracy and reporting capabilities, streamlines employee and manager experiences, and supports informed workforce planning and decision-making. The solution should align with CRNA’s governance requirements, information management practices, and commitment to effective stewardship of organizational resources.
