Requirement:
The Department of National Defence (DND) has a requirement for
Coveralls, Flame Resistant in accordance with the DND
Manufacturing Data DSSPM 2-6-87-3600 dated May 7, 2010 last
amended June 7, 2012, the Design Data List DDL-8486-123399 and
the sealed patterns. The sealed patterns shall constitute the
standard in regards to any properties not specified in the
Manufacturing Data.

Estimated Quantity:
The requirement also includes an estimated quantity for special
sizes to be ordered on an "as & when requested" basis. The
estimated quantity is for a total of 50 units distributed
amongst Navy Blue and Tan coveralls.
The estimated quantity (special sizes) may be ordered by DND on
an "as & when requested" basis for a period of 24 months from
the effective date of the contract. Special size is defined as
those sizes outside the realm of the scale of measurements.
Options:
This requirement also includes two (2) options to purchase an
additional quantity as follows:
Option 1: for a maximum of 1,768 units exercisable for a period
of 12 months from the date of contract award.
Option 2: for a maximum of 1,768 units exercisable for a period
of 24 months from the date of contract award.
Delivery:
It is requested that delivery be complete by March 31, 2013.
The firm quantity is to be delivered to the Canadian Forces
Supply Depots in Edmonton, Alberta and Montreal, Quebec. The
estimated quantity (special size) may be delivered to various
destinations across Canada.
Pre-Award Sample
The bidder must submit pre-award samples, Certificates of
Compliance and/or test results from an independent accredited
laboratory with the bid.
Paper Patterns
The paper pattern for size 7040 will be provided to the bidders
for the production of the pre-award sample.
DND will provide paper patterns for all sizes for the
production. Paper patterns for special size garments is the
responsibility of the Contractor.
Government Supplied Material:
Canada will provide insignias for the manufacture of the items.
Quantity of 1 insignia per coverall.

Technical Data:
The Manufacturing Data DSSPM 2-6-87-3600 will automatically be
issued to firms who will order the bid document via Merx. The
Design Data List 8486-123399 (which includes the paper pattern
for size 7040) will be forwarded to firms, under separate cover
from the Department of National Defence, upon request for the
bid documentation via Merx. Therefore, it is imperative that
this request for bid documentation be done as soon as possible
to ensure timely receipt of the associated technical data. If
bidders do not receive the technical data, they must contact the
contracting officer. However, the Crown shall not be held
responsible for untimely release of technical data, since the
technical package and sealed patterns shall be available for
viewing at the following Department of Public Works and
Government Services Regional Offices: Montreal, QUÉ; Québec,
QUÉ; Mississauga, ON; Winnipeg, MB; Edmonton, ALTA. and
Vancouver, BC, and at DND, Gatineau Quebec.
Canadian Content Policy
This requirement is subject to the Canadian Content Policy and
is solely limited to Canadian origin goods.
Enquiries
To ensure a response before the bid closing date, all enquiries
about this requirement must be submitted in writing and received
by the Contracting Authority at least 7 calendar days prior to
the bid closing date.
