Nature of Requirements:
The purpose of this procurement is to secure commercial accommodation, meeting space, and food & beverage for the delegates attending the Spring 2018 Department of National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces (DND/CAF) Military Conference, 22 - 24 May 2018,Ottawa, Ontario, Canada.
DND/CAF is organizing an upcoming International conference, entitled the ?Spring 2018 Department of National Defence / Canadian Armed Forces (DND/CAF) Military Conference?. The advance notice for this event is to secure a venue at the soonest possible date, in consideration of the International delegation of attendees and their planning purposes, the overall demand for hotels in Ottawa during the May timeframe, and the security concerns associated with hosting a conference of this magnitude and prominence. The conference itself will be taking place in Ottawa, Ontario, from 22 - 24 May 2018.
Due to physical and information technology security concerns and in order to simplify a variety of logistical requirements, it isour goal to have all conference participants accommodated in the same hotel as well as the conference space and all associated support space.
Due to security, logistical, and cultural event challenges, the location of the establishment providing therequirement must be located downtown Ottawa within walking distance to the National Defence Headquarters, the Parliament Buildings, the Market, the Rideau Canal, and the National Gallery of Canada.
