Full description

The project is to build a new Visitor Education Centre of approximately 695 m2 gross, including an exhibit area of 200 m2.

The site of the Project, also known as the Vimy site, is a vast area of 117 hectares of battlefield terrain designated a national historic site of Canada in 1996 (Vimy Ridge National Historic Site), situated in the French countryside. Most of the site is conserved battlefield terrain, but there are areas where there has been previous development. The monument, the Tunnels and Trenches, and the cemeteries, are all set within the undulating landscape of the battlefield.

This project is a “Draw Build” project type that will be conducted in two phases.

Phase 1 - Request for Qualification:
Pre-qualify a maximum of five draw-build teams upon evaluation of their qualifications, experience and company organisation.

Phase 2 - Request for Proposal:
Qualified draw build teams will be invited to submit competitive proposals for the work.

Note:
Requests for complete RQ packages should be directed to the Contracting Authority below.

Documents for the RQ may be submitted in either official language of Canada. Prospective candidates should be aware that the execution of the project will be conducted primarily, if not entirely, in French.
