should note that Attachment contains the Drawings and
Specifications Package (DSP) which consists of PDF files
organized in an industry recognized directory structure.
Work Description:
Work under this Contract includes, but is not limited to, the
addition of two (2) accessible Exercise Yards at Cell Block J,
located within Kent Institution, Agassiz, BC; the minor removal
& disposal of asphalt paving and concrete stairs; site work and
new asphalt paving; concrete well with ramp and landing; chain
link fencing and gates; concrete foundation and steel
receptacles for exercise bar; new exterior door & frame
assembly; security cameras and lighting; provision of temporary
construction hoarding at interior and exterior work areas as
indicated and remedial work as required where affected by
contract.
Work will be performed in accordance with the contract schedules
within the scope of work.
Site Visit:
Contractors are strongly recommended to visit the site prior to
submitting a tender for this work and to make inquiries or
investigations necessary to become thoroughly acquainted with
the site as well as the nature and extent of the work.
A site visit is scheduled for Monday, May 25, 2015 @ 10:00am
local time. Interested bidders are to meet at the PWGSC Site
Office, Kent Institution, 4732 Cemetary Road, Agassiz, BC.
Note: All contractors must wear a high visibility vest, which
meets WCB standards, for all site visits including a tender site
visit. No cameras, cell phones (of any type) or lap top
computers are allowed into institutions at any time. All
contractors attending the site visit must be able to provide a
piece of Government issued photo identification at the reception
in order to gain visitor access into institutions.
Delivery Date:
The work shall commence immediately upon official notification
of acceptance of tender by the Contracting Authority and is to
be completed within sixteen (16) weeks from Contract Award.
Value of Project:
To assist with bonding and insurance requirements, this project
is estimated to cost between $230,000.00 and $250,000.
