Title: TRANSPORTABLE TELECOMMUNICATIONS SHELTERS CONSTRUCTION AND DELIVERY

Work Description: The Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP) Project Management Unit, has a requirement for the construction and delivery of three (3) Transportable Telecommunications Aluminum Shelters to be delivered to Chilliwack, B.C. within nine (9) weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer, as noted below in accordance with the attached specification dated 2013-12-20. (Shelter Configurations “A” through “F” are included in the specification).
The Shelters will house radio equipment in support of public safety communications. Each radio shelter is configured for stand-alone continuous operation, which includes batteries and or fuel operated generators. Several different configurations are required, depending on the back-up power configurations. The shelters are transportable due to the installation in remote locations.
The three (3) shelter configurations are required within nine (9) weeks from date of notification of acceptance of offer as per the “Construction Configurations” listed in the specifications.
Optional Shelters:
This requirement includes an option for the construction and delivery to Chilliwack, B.C., of an additional eight (8) Transportable Aluminum Shelters by February 28, 2016 as noted below, in accordance with the attached specification dated 2013-12-20. (Shelter Configurations Appendixes “A” through “F” are included in the specification).
The successful contractor will be provided a minimum of ten (10) weeks of lead time for the construction and delivery of up to three (3) shelters at one time.
The eight (8) Optional shelter configurations are required by February 28, 2016 as per the
“Construction Configurations” listed in the specifications
Sealed Tenders, completed in accordance with the conditions of the Invitation To Tender document provided, will be received by the RCMP at the following location: RCMP MAIL SERVICES UNIT, BID RECEIVING - Room #A1E431, 14200 Green Timbers Way, Surrey, B.C. V3T 6P3 by: January 20, 2014. Faxed tenders are not acceptable; late tenders will be returned unopened.
Bid Results:
Following solicitation closing, bid results will be forwarded to all bidders and a Contract Award Notice will be posted on the Government Electronic Tendering system Buy and Sell. www.buyandsell.gc.ca.
This requirement is subject to the following trade agreement:
Agreement on Internal Trade - AIT
Security Clearance Requirements:
This Invitation To Tender does not have a security requirement.
Value of Project:
This project is estimated to cost between $350,000 to $500,000.
Construction Time:
The Contractor shall perform and complete the Work for three (3) shelters within nine (9) weeks from the date of notification of acceptance of the offer.
Contract Period:
The Contract period will be from the date of contract award to February 28, 2016.
Option to Purchase:
The Contractor grants to Canada the option to construct and deliver up to eight (8) additional shelters during the contract period.
Canada may exercise this option at any time by sending a written notice to the Contractor at least ten (10) weeks prior to delivery date for up to three (3) shelters. The option may only be exercised by the Contracting Authority, and will be evidenced for administrative purposes only, through a contract amendment.
