Emergency Medical Consultant
National Defence, Maritime Forces Atlantic, Halifax, Nova Scotia
has a requirement for the provision of expert Emergency Medicine
Physician advice to Canadian Forces Physicians, Medical
Technicians, Physician Assistants at sea or other remote
locations on the management of patients. Services are required
24 hours per day, 7 days per week. The period of the Contract
is from May 22, 2013 to May 31, 2014 inclusive. The Contractor
grants to Canada the irrevocable option to extend the term of
the Contract by up to two additional one year period(s) under
the same conditions
Bid evaluation will be based on minimum mandatory criteria,
point rated evaluation criteria, and price. The lowest-priced
responsive bid will be recommended for award of a contract.
Bidders must provide proof of the following minimum mandatory
criteria with their bids:
Bidders must provide evidence that proposed physicians possess
valid medical licenses from the College of Physicians and
Surgeons within Canada (photocopies acceptable).
Physicians must have current (within last two years) experience
in Canada working in the filed of Emergency Medicine.
Bidders must be able to provide 24 hour, 7 days per week, 365
days per year telephone access to a physician with experience in
Emergency Medicine in accordance with Annex A.
Bidder must be able to provide a secondary "back-up" Emergency
Medicine Physician when required; bidders must provide evidence
that proposed physicians possess valid medical licenses from
the College of Physicians and Surgeons of Nova Scotia.
