Blakiston Creek Erosion Control, Waterton Lakes National Park,
Waterton Lakes, AB

Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC), on behalf
of the Parks Canada Agency (PCA), is seeking tenders for the
provision of all materials, equipment, labour and supervision to
construct erosion control works on Blakiston Creek in accordance
with the specifications and drawings included in the Invitation
to Tender. The site is located in Waterton Lakes National Park
at the intersection of Highway 5, the Red Rock Parkway and
Blakiston Creek upstream of Middle Waterton Lake.

The work comprises of the following but is not limited to:
-Locate buried gas pipeline across the creek;
-Removal of trees and vegetation adjacent to bank protection
works;
-Placement of underlayer and riprap bank protection material on
bank;
-Placement of underlayer and riprap bank protection material on
bridge pier and abutment;
-Placement of scour protection mattress on creek bed over buried
gas pipeline;
-Placement of topsoil and seed along disturbed top of bank area;
-Restoring disturbed areas to pre-construction conditions

Completion Date: Novermber 9, 2012.

OPTIONAL SITE VISIT
There will be an optional site visit on August 15, 2012 at 1:00
P.M. Interested bidders are to meet at the Waterton Townsite
Firehall, Waterton Lakes, Alberta.
