Government Services Canada
Background:
The Publishing and Depository Services (PDS) publishes and
distributes Government of Canada publications to depository
libraries, the public, federal departments and agencies,
parliamentarians, the private sector, and other levels of
government. The mission of PDS is to ensure that Canadians have
easy, ready, and equal access to federal government publications
in all formats.
Since 2002, PDS has been using a software solution developed
in-house to process and catalogue Government of Canada

professional services to convert its current bibliographic data
set to MARC format.
Description of the requirement:
PDS Directorate of the Integrated Services Branch of Public
Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) requires the
services of a company that has proven experience in the
conversion of bibliographic records from a non-Machine Readable
Cataloging (MARC) bibliographic format to a MARC21 format,
including record matching and upgrading using MARC source
records and transfer of local data.
