Public Services and Procurement Canada (PSPC) is actively developing more modern and responsive procurement processes that are efficient, service-oriented, and focused on the needs of stakeholders. PSPC has made it a priority to provide simpler and morestreamlined procurement processes and to remove unnecessary barriers to contract entry.
Since the Request for Information (RFI) published in May 2015, PSPC has identified the Laboratory Supplies commodity for procurement transformation. This includes:
- selecting it as an early adopter of the forthcoming E-Procurement Solution;
- making the next NMSO available for use by multi-jurisdictional governments; and
- committing to integrating environmental considerations into the procurement process.
This RFI will provide industry insight into new departmental priorities PSPC and how the strategy for Laboratory Supplies has been effected.
This RFI will form the basis for industry’s input, to ensure that PSPC's proposed procurement strategy meets or exceeds government departments’ needs and takes into consideration suppliers' capacity to compete for government opportunities.
