Tender description
The National Research Council Canada’s (NRC) Herzberg Astronomy and Astrophysics Research Centre (HAA) has a requirement for the supply of quantity 1 Deformable mirror and quantity 2 drive electronics for Adaptive Optics. This is to enable improved performance of the REVOLT AO system and ensure existing AO research can continue by modernizing the wavefront corrector and its interface to the real time controller. The Deformable mirror must have a clear aperture of 27mm, an actuator matrix size of no less than 19x19 and no more than 20x20, a Tip/Tilt stroke of at least 15 microns peak-to-valley (wavefront) and an actuator pitch of exactly 1.5mm. The drive electronic for this deformable mirror must be capable of achieving loop rates of at least 1kHz and have a Gigabit ethernet interface. The second drive electronic must have a Gigabit ethernet interface and be capable of driving an APLAO DM-277-15 at a rate of at least 1kHz. Both drive electronics must be compatible with both Linux and Windows operating systems.
