REQUEST FOR INFORMATION AS TO THE AVAILABILITY OF OFFICE SPACE
FOR LEASE IN THE CITY OF WINNIPEG, MANITOBA

Public Works and Government Services Canada (PWGSC) is seeking
information for the possible lease of space that meets the
following criteria:
(A) Lease components
A lease term of ten (10) years, commencing on or about September
1, 2013, plus options to extend the lease for two (2) additional
periods of two (2) years; with the amount of space equal to
approximately 454 usable square metres (um2) of contiguous
office space; and available at least eighteen (18) weeks prior
to the above-noted commencement date so all space may be
prepared for occupancy. The leased premises would be accessible
by public transit, contiguous and located on the main floor
space. Preference may be given to highly visible storefront
space with direct pedestrian access from the street. The leased
premises must be located within the following boundaries:
North: Portage Avenue
South: Portage Avenue
East: Century Street
West: St. Charles Street
The geographical boundaries include sites on either side of the
roads. PWGSC may wish to visit or inspect the premises upon
reasonable notice. PWGSC's Standards for Leased Accommodation
apply; a copy may be obtained through the contact listed below.
(B) Physical characteristics
The physical characteristics of the lands, building, area and
environment surrounding it, including neighbouring land uses,
must be compatible with the lessee's intended use of the
accommodation and the space proposed must be in a good quality
building, all as determined strictly at the lessee's sole
discretion.

(D) Response required by
Responses to this Request for Information are required by May 3,
2012.
(E) Information provided by the owner or an owner's agent
Information provided by the owner or by the owner's agent shall
include the location of the building, current zoning, specific
location of space within the building, area of space and details
pertaining to the above-noted requirements and private/public
parking facilities. Agents submitting a response to this Request
for Information shall provide PWGSC with a letter from the owner

(F) Security requirement
For this potential lease project or for any other leases, the
building owner must obtain the required security screening level
"RELIABILITY" from the Canadian Industrial Security Directorate
(CISD) of PWGSC prior to the offer. All parties interested in
this potential lease project are invited to obtain a security
screening level in advance. Information regarding security
screening can be obtained on the website of the CISD/PWGSC at

This is not a tender process nor a request for proposals, but
only an inquiry as to the availability of space to lease. PWGSC
will not necessarily invite offers or lease any space. PWGSC may
issue an invitation to tender for this possible leasing
requirement or other leasing requirements based on information
it receives as a result of this advertisement or based on any
other information that may come to its attention prior to the
closing date of the tender; or it may invite offers by way of
public tender.
