OBJECTIVE:
The Department of Agriculture and Agri-Food Canada (AAFC), Lacombe Research Centre at 6000 C and E Trail, Lacombe, Alberta has a requirement for a company to provide a Journeyman Plumber to provide labour, parts and material, tools and equipment, transportation and supervision for the provision of Plumbing and Heating Services on an "as and when required" basis.
BACKGROUND:
The Lacombe Research Centre is one of many AAFC Research Centres across the country. The Lacombe Research Centre consists of a number of multipurpose buildings which facilitate a number of Research Programs for AAFC, Alberta Agriculture, and privately funded research programs.
Due to aging infrastructure, AAFC requires more work at this facility and would like to put in place a Standing Offer for Plumbing and Heating services. This would provide staff with an available resource to complete projects for repair, renovations, annual inspections, installation of equipment and all other plumbing & heating work.
SERVICES REQUIRED:
The services required are detailed in the RFP document, Appendix B. AAFC anticipates to award a Standing Offer for May 1, 2014 for Two (2) years with an Option to Extend for One (1) year.
MANDATORY SITE VISIT:
It is mandatory that the Bidder or a representative of the Bidder visit the site where services will be provided. Arrangements have been made for a tour of the site Wednesday, March 12, 2014 at 09:00 A.M.
