General Description
Contract is required to provide all labour, materials and
equipment for snow and abrasive spreading for the Department of
National Defence, CFB Trenton, Trenton, Ontario, Canada, for all
areas south of Highway 2, including Baker Island, and areas on
the north side of Highway 2, including roadways, parking lots,
air terminal parking lots, and other areas, from 15 December
2012 to 15 April 2013, in accordance with the Statement of Work
and Site Drawings included in the solicitation annexes.
Additional work may also be required on an "as and when
requested" basis.
Period of Work
There is one one-year option period for 17 December 2012 to 15
April 2013 with a one year option to renew from the 01 November
2013 to 15 April 2014
Mandatory Site Visit
Arrangements have been made for a mandatory site visit to be
held on Wednesday, 20 November 2012, at 09:00 a.m. All
participants are to meet at Wing Transportation Squadron, 11
Buffalo, on the base at CFB Trenton, Trenton, Ontario, before
that time. Bidders are requested to advise the Contracting
Authority no less than two (2) working days before the scheduled
site visit to confirm attendance and provide the name(s) of
those persons who will be attending.
Bidders will be required to sign an attendance form. Bidders
who do not attend or send a representative will not be given an
alternative appointment and their bids will be deemed
non-responsive and will be given no further consideration.
Following the Mandatory Site Visit, Canada will issue an
amendment to this RFP to reflect any answers to questions,
clarifications or changes resulting from issues or questions
raised at the Mandatory Site Visit. Only those clarifications
or changes reflected in such amendment will be considered by
Canada in its evaluation of the proposals submitted.
Government issued picture identification (such as a driver's
license or passport) may be required to gain entry, and to be
produced at any time during the site visit by an personnel at
the CFB Trenton. Canada will not be responsible for the
Bidder's failure to attend the Site Visit due to the Bidder not
being granted access for not having met these conditions.

procurement.
